How is my LanceRank score calculated?

Created by Georgios Karam, Modified on Mon, 8 Jun at 6:00 AM by Georgios Karam

Your score is a number from 0 to 100, displayed as a letter grade D / C / B / A / A+. It's built from five factors:

  • Track Record (35%) — total verified jobs, earnings, and hours, log-scaled. Rating quality is folded in as a multiplier so platforms where you're rated higher pull more weight.
  • Recency (25%) — recent work counts more. Active freelancers score higher than ones coasting on historical work.
  • Claimant Credibility (20%) — how confident we are you're really you. Stripe Identity, LinkedIn OAuth, GitHub OAuth, and extension-proved platform ownership all feed this.
  • Platform Credibility (15%) — your highest-tier badge across every platform (Upwork Top Rated Plus, Fiverr Top Rated Seller, Toptal Top 3%, etc.).
  • Skills (5%) — passed skill quizzes. Capped at 5 points.
