After you claim a profile, your scraped platform reputation is hidden publicly until you prove platform-specific ownership via the Chrome extension. We call this step Path-C resync — same term you'll see on the in-app banners. It's the impersonation defense at work.
To restore the reputation:
- Install LanceRank Sync from the Chrome Web Store
- Visit your platform profile (e.g. upwork.com/freelancers/~your-handle) while logged in
- Click the LanceRank Sync icon → Sync
- Your platform reputation appears immediately on your public profile
The extension only works on the EXACT platform URL we scraped from, while you're logged in as that user. This binding is what makes the protection work.
If you genuinely can't use the extension (Toptal blocks it, you lost platform access, you're mobile-only), submit a manual review request from /dashboard/platforms with proof of ownership. Admin reviews within 48 hours.
