Offline projects are how we count work that never lived on a platform — direct clients, referrals, agency contracts, anything that didn't leave a public review.
From Dashboard → Offline projects:
- Add a past client engagement (project title, dates, client name and email)
- We send the client a one-click vouch email asking them to confirm
- Once they confirm, the project counts toward your Track Record
Vouches count by quality, not headcount. A vouch from an established, independently-verifiable company domain counts in full; a vouch from a free webmail address (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) or a brand-new domain counts at a reduced weight. We count at most one vouch per client domain per 12 months, so ten confirmations from the same company don't stack. If you have no connected platform yet, vouches can add up to a set share of your Track Record — enough to matter, never enough to fake a full career — and at least one vouch has to trace to an independently-verifiable client before vouches lift your public number.
If a client doesn't respond, the project sits as "Pending" and doesn't affect your score. Disposable email domains are rejected outright, and anything that looks coordinated (same device or IP as the freelancer, a burst of confirmations, a ring of young domains) is held for review. Nothing fake gets through.
