Chrome extension vs email — which one should I choose?

Use the Chrome extension path if you're on Chrome or Edge and have access to the platform you were scraped from. Fastest (30 seconds), restores your full reputation immediately, no ID upload needed.

Use the LinkedIn OAuth path if you're on a device the extension doesn't support but you want something faster than the email-plus-ID flow. One click via "Sign in with LinkedIn" and you get a blue "LinkedIn-Confirmed" badge on your public profile. It doesn't restore your platform reputation — you'll still need the extension later for that.

Use the email path if you're on mobile, Safari, Firefox, or have lost access to the original platform account. Your profile goes live and you can build LanceRank-Direct reputation (verified reviews, vouched offline projects) but the scraped platform reputation stays hidden until you also sync via the extension on a desktop.

All three paths require identity verification. The extension proves platform ownership; LinkedIn confirms your identity through LinkedIn; Stripe Identity proves your legal name.
