How does identity verification work?

Three paths:

  • Chrome extension — proves you're logged into the source platform (Upwork, Fiverr, etc.) as the scraped username. Strongest signal because it requires platform credentials. We never ask for your platform password.
  • LinkedIn OAuth — sign in with LinkedIn. Faster than the email-only flow and surfaces a blue "LinkedIn-Confirmed" badge on your public profile. It confirms your identity through LinkedIn but doesn't restore platform reputation — you'll still need the extension for that.
  • Stripe Identity — uploads your government ID + selfie to Stripe (not us). Stripe returns your legal name and we check it against the platform name. We never see the raw document.

We pay for Stripe Identity, not you.

Verification is mandatory: you have 7 days from claim to complete one of the three paths or your claim reverts and the profile goes back to the public marketplace.
