The moment you claim and verify, we take a snapshot of your score and label it "Provisional · 14-day window". It's an honest acknowledgement: we've only just started measuring you on LanceRank, and fresh signals (direct reviews, vouched projects, recent syncs) haven't had time to land.
What the window does for you:
- You see and share a real number from day one — no "score pending" limbo
- After 14 days the score moves to Live automatically as data builds
- An anti-downgrade floor protects against big swings during the window — if a single review pulls the number around, the floor cushions it
The grace window is one-time per claim. If you sync a platform on day 3, the platform reputation feeds in immediately; you don't wait the full 14 days.
