Yes. Chrome auto-updates installed extensions within 24-48 hours of a new release on the Chrome Web Store. You don't need to manually reinstall, uninstall, or check anything.
We also do something most extensions can't: we can hot-patch the extraction logic remotely, without requiring a Chrome Web Store update. If a platform changes its HTML and our scrape breaks, we push a config update from the server and the extension picks it up immediately. No reinstall on your side.
If you suspect you're on an old version:
- Click the LanceRank Sync icon in your Chrome toolbar
- The popup shows the current installed version number
- Compare against the latest at chromewebstore.google.com if you want to double-check
If you're behind and Chrome hasn't auto-updated, visiting the Web Store listing and reloading usually nudges it.
